The Hospital is situated at the centre of Athens and is completely functional from 1948. As a military hospital it has well established contingency and recovery plans for each of its core services, key systems and functional processes, while the management is central through the commander and the chain of hierarchy. In addition, it has business continuity plans to reduce the effects of disruption upon services, systems and business processes caused by service interruptions and failures.
The LCH adult clinic operates within the above described environment and has unrestricted access and support from the infrastructure of the Hospital, and that reassures both the functional level and the continuity of the clinic’s operation.
The LCH adult clinic uses the National Health prescription system in order to facilitate the diagnostic procedures and treatment of outpatients. In addition, the intra-hospital e-network is used for all the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for inpatients.
